Product Details

The Victron Interface MK3-USB enables communication between VE.Bus devices (such as Multi, MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, Quattro, and Inverter/Chargers) and a computer via USB. This interface allows for device configuration and firmware updates using the VEConfigure software suite.

Please note that drivers and software must be downloaded from the official Victron Energy website.

The MK3-USB is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Android operating systems. For Android devices, an additional OTG cable may be required.

  • Legacy Adapter Compatibility: Replaces the older MK2-USB interface (VictronConnect is not compatible with MK2-USB).

  • System Configuration: Adjust general settings, AC input current limits, inverter output voltage, low DC voltage shutdown/restart levels, charger voltage profiles (Absorption, Float, Storage), BatterySafe curves, PowerAssist, and conditional AC input rules.
  • Multi-Unit System Setup: Configure, copy settings, and set up parallel, split-phase, and 3-phase systems.
  • Firmware Updates: Upgrade system firmware for single units as well as multi-unit parallel and 3-phase installations without requiring an internet connection during updating.
  • Live Telemetry & Diagnostics: View real-time AC input/output voltage, current, frequency, power, battery voltage, charging current, state of charge (SoC), and active system status in Status Mode.

Operational Requirements & Compatibility Notes

  • Power Requirement: The target VE.Bus unit must be powered on to establish communication (AC or DC power for Multi/Quattro; DC power for Multi Compact and Inverters).
  • Microcontroller & Firmware Compatibility: Full configuration and firmware update functionality requires firmware v415 or higher (microcontrollers with software numbers starting with 26 or 27). Older microcontrollers (starting with 19 or 20) support data readout only. Units with 18xxxxx software numbers are not supported.
