Here are brief instruction suggestions for connecting and installing the solar panel kit:

Mount the solar panel:

  • Ensure you have enough room on your chosen surface and it is sturdy enough to hold the panels
  • Secure the Victron Energy 185W Solar Panel to the brackets
  • Attach brackets to the roof using CT1 Sealant & Adhesive

Install the charge controller:

  • Mount the Victron MPPT 75/15 SmartSolar Charge Controller in a protected location

Input the cables through the roof:

  • Use the 5M Solar Extension cables with MC4 connectors
  • Make sure to label the positive and negative cables before putting them through the gland
  • Route cables through the Cable Gland in the brackets

Install the fuse:

  • Mount the Victron Energy Fuse holder
  • Insert the 30A Midi Fuse

Wire the system:

  • Use 6mm2 black cable for negative connections
  • Use 6mm2 red cable for positive connections
  • Ground the MPPT Charge controller (consult manual for instructions)
  • Attach Y23 pin connectors and Y6/Y7 terminals as needed

Connect components:

  • Connect the MPPT charge controller to your battery (not included in kit) BEFORE connecting it to your panel
  • Wire solar panel to charge controller

Double-check all connections and ensure proper polarity

This is a powerful solar panel kit for motorhomes and is ideal for keeping essentials running. This solar kit will keep your leisure battery charged and keep you connected, off-grid. It includes everything you will need to connect the Victron 185W solar panel to your camper or motorhomes existing leisure battery. Please bare in mind the size of the solar panel + the solar panel mount when sizing this kit up for your roof. 

This kit is fairly easy to install if you have basic DIY skills. We include a diagram and instructions and we are always on hand to help if you need some guidance. There are a few handy videos for installation for you to watch if you need any tips for installation.

The 6mm cable included is 1 metre long.
