In split phase systems supplied by generators, the grid, or stacked inverters, unbalanced 120 V loads often prevent the full power capacity from being utilised. The Autotransformer effectively "absorbs" the current unbalance between the two legs, allowing maximum power to be drawn without overloading one side. This makes the 32 A unit a superior alternative to stacking two 120 V inverters for a split phase supply.

For safety and seamless integration, it includes a ground relay which, when coupled with a Victron MultiPlus or Quattro Inverter/Charger, ensures the neutral output is correctly earthed in inverter mode for proper GFCI functioning. Built with a robust toroidal transformer and a durable aluminium enclosure, this 32 A Autotransformer provides reliable, temperature-protected power conversion.
