Installation & Ventilation

  • Mounting Orientation: The unit must be mounted vertically (with its length vertical) to facilitate maximum cooling through natural convection.
  • Clearance: Maintain a minimum clear space of 10 cm around the product for adequate ventilation.
  • Safety Warning: For safety, the product should be installed in a heat-resistant environment. Avoid placing chemicals, synthetic components, curtains, or other textiles in the immediate vicinity.
  • Operating Temperature: Under normal circumstances, the temperature increase of the heat sink does not exceed 20°C. However, the unit may become hot when conducting a fault ground current.

Safety & Wiring Requirements

  • Correct Wiring: The galvanic isolator must be wired into the green (safety) grounding conducting connection ahead of all other grounding connections to the vessel. This prevents any ground connections on the vessel from bypassing the isolator and making it ineffective.
  • Regulatory Compliance: All connections and safety features must be implemented according to locally applicable regulations.
  • Cabling: Ensure the use of electric cables of the appropriate size for the 64A current rating.
