The Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000 – 48V 5000VA Inverter/Charger – GX Version is a high-performance solution for off-grid, marine, and professional applications requiring reliable AC power. Combining a 5000VA true sine wave inverter, a 70A adaptive battery charger, and a high-speed AC transfer switch, it ensures uninterrupted power supply and efficient energy management.
The MultiPlus-II GX is designed for professional marine, vehicle, and land-based off-grid systems, offering isolation and redundancy required for energy storage setups. Its PowerControl feature prevents grid or generator overload, while PowerAssist boosts AC power during peak demand. In the event of an outage, the inverter switches over in milliseconds, keeping computers and sensitive electronics running without interruption.
An Inverter/Charger with device networking built-in, the MultiPlus-II 48/5000 GX communicates with a solar charger, batteries, and other devices to control a grid-connected, off-grid, or remote power installation. The MultiPlus-II 48/5000 GX integrates a MultiPlus-II inverter/charger and a GX device with a 2 x 16 character display.
Display and Wi-Fi
The display reads battery, inverter and solar charge controller parameters. The same parameters can be accessed with a smartphone or other Wi-Fi enabled device.
GX device
The integrated GX device includes:
A BMS-Can interface. This can be used to connect to a compatible CAN-bus managed battery. Note that this not a VE.Can compatible port.
A USB port.
A Ethernet port.
A VE.Direct port.
Applications
The MultiPlus-II 48/5000 GX is intended for applications where additional interfacing with other products and/or remote monitoring is required, such as on-grid or off-grid energy storage systems and certain mobile applications.
Parallel and three phase operation
Only one GX unit is needed in case of Parallel and three phase operation.
When coupled with a Cerbo GX you can monitor and control your MultiPlus-II 48/5000 GX and system or systems’ locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world, using the free VRM app and free VRM portal website.
