The Victron Energy Smart BatteryProtect 12/24V-220A is an advanced battery protection device designed to safeguard your battery from excessive discharge and ensure reliable operation of your electrical system. It automatically disconnects non-essential loads before the battery is completely discharged, preventing potential damage.

With Bluetooth connectivity, it allows for easy programming and monitoring via the VictronConnect app. If required, Bluetooth can be disabled.

The device is compatible with both 12V and 24V systems, offering versatility for various applications.

The Smart BatteryProtect is not designed for reverse currents from charging sources.

Smart Features & Configuration

  • Bluetooth Built-in: Wireless programming via the VictronConnect app allows you to set custom engage/disengage levels or choose from nine predefined levels using the programming pin.
  • Instant Readout: The VictronConnect app can display vital status information (warnings, alarms, and errors) on the Device List page without the need to pair with the device.
  • Li-ion Mode: Includes a special setting for control by a VE.Bus BMS. It can also function as a charge interrupter between a battery charger and a Li-ion battery.
  • Ignition Proof: Uses MOSFET switches instead of traditional relays, ensuring no sparks are produced, making it suitable for sensitive environments.
  • Delayed Alarm Output: Activated if battery voltage drops below the preset disconnect level for more than 12 seconds. Max current: 50 mA (short-circuit proof).
  • Delayed Load Disconnect: The load is disconnected 90 seconds after the threshold is reached (immediate if triggered by a VE.Bus BMS).
  • Delayed Load Reconnect: Reconnects 30 seconds after battery voltage rises above the preset reconnect threshold.
