Product Details

The Victron SmartSolar Pluggable Display is an optional LCD module that fits into the “display port” of compatible Victron SmartSolar MPPT controllers. It lets you instantly view current system parameters (PV voltage, battery voltage and current, power, temperature, charge stage, etc.) as well as historical data for the last 30 days or lifetime totals. It also permits making local configuration changes directly on the controller without needing a PC or Bluetooth interface.

Key Features & Operation:

  • Installation: Remove the protective cover from the display port on the front of the MPPT controller, then plug in the display and secure with screws (tape backing optional for temporary use).
  • Hot Swappable: The display can be inserted or removed while the MPPT charger is operational (no shutting down needed).
  • Display Modes: Shows status, historical data, and settings menus.
  • Logging: 30 days of daily data and lifetime (cumulative) statistics.
  • Configuration: Allows altering controller settings (voltages, algorithms etc.) locally via the display.

Compatibility & Use Notes:

  • Compatible with Victron SmartSolar / BlueSolar MPPT controllers equipped with a display port.
  • The display can be used either as a permanent or a temporary monitoring tool. 
  • For controllers without a display port, a plastic cover usually marks where the display can be added.

Monitoring & Data Display

  • Live PV Data: Solar power (W), yield (kWh), voltage (V), and current (A).
  • Battery Status: Voltage, charge current, and current charge stage (Bulk, Absorption, Float, or Off).
  • Temperature: Battery temperature and solar charger internal temperature.
  • Load Output: State and current (only for chargers equipped with a load output).
  • History: 30-day historical values including daily yield, max/min battery voltages, maximum PV power, and time spent in each charge stage.
  • Cumulative Data: Total yield since the last history reset.

Configuration & Setup Features

  • Charge Algorithm: Selection of preset algorithms or fully customizable user-defined settings.
  • Voltage Settings: Adjust absorption, float, and equalization voltages.
  • Equalization: Initiate manual equalization or set automatic equalization intervals.
  • Relay & Load Modes: Program relay functions (High PV voltage, Low battery, etc.) and load control algorithms (including BatteryLife).
  • System Settings: Set system voltage (12/24/36/48V), toggle BMS presence, and manage password locks.
  • Interface Customization: Adjust backlight intensity, backlight timeout, scroll speed, and temperature units (°C/°F).
