Temperature sensor QUA/PMP/Venus GX ASS000001000
The Victron Temperature Sensor QUA/PMP/Venus GX is designed to integrate temperature measurement into Victron systems. It serves Quattro and MultiPlus inverter/chargers, GX-series devices, and VE.Can MPPT solar controllers by feeding battery temperature data into the system. This data allows the charging algorithm to apply temperature compensation to the charge voltage, improving battery health and performance.
In practice, this sensor measures in the range 0 °C to 70 °C reliably. While it may sense up to 100 °C, it is not specified for continuous operation above 70 °C. A deviation of ±2 °C is considered normal in typical operation.
On GX devices, up to 16 temperature inputs (from multiple sensors) can be used across tank, temperature and monitoring channels.
This sensor is a key accessory when precise voltage compensation is needed, especially where ambient or battery temperatures fluctuate. Its configuration is done via the Victron device’s software or in GX settings once installed.
