The KIT21_M is a premium 12V marine solar charging kit designed around a high-quality 130W monocrystalline solar panel.
At the heart of the system is the Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 charge controller. This intelligent controller actively maximises the energy harvest from your 130W panel, charging your battery bank up to 30 per cent faster than older PWM controllers. With built-in Bluetooth, the SmartSolar controller communicates directly with your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to view live charging current, solar wattage, and historical performance through the VictronConnect app.
For physical security on the water, this kit replaces standard plastic mounts with premium aluminium alloy brackets. This set of four brackets is crafted from high-grade aluminium for long-term durability and is specifically designed to resist rotation and loosening over time, even under the constant vibration of a marine deck or cabin roof. The kit includes all the necessary high-quality fixings, including four 20mm M8 bolts, eight 30mm M8 bolts, twelve M8 nuts, twelve plain washers, and twelve spring washers. The unique bracket profile uses double bolts at the base to ensure your panel remains rock-solid in changing offshore conditions. Installation is straightforward: first attach the brackets to the panel frame using the shorter 20mm bolts, then secure the entire assembly to your deck or cabin roof using the longer 30mm bolts.
A standout addition to this marine-grade kit is the genuine Scanstrut double cable entry gland. On a boat, drilling holes in your deck or cabin roof to run solar cables inside can be a source of worry. The Scanstrut gland eliminates this concern entirely by providing a guaranteed, IP68 watertight seal for both cables through a single, low-profile fitting. Made from high-impact, UV-stabilised material, it is designed specifically to withstand harsh marine environments and sun exposure without cracking, degrading, or leaking.
The kit is curated to offer a complete charging foundation. It includes a 100A Midi fuse holder, a 30A fuse for robust circuit protection, and a pair of 5-metre solar extension cables with pre-fitted MC4 connectors for a secure, weather-resistant connection.
