Victron MultiPlus-CL 48/20k/250-100 230V

The Victron Energy MultiPlus 48/20k/250-100 230V inverter offers advanced functionality and high performance, making it an ideal solution for a range of energy management applications. Its robust design ensures reliable operation in various environments while providing exceptional efficiency. Mains charger, inverter and mains transfer switch in one

  1. Versatile battery compatibility: Allows connection to various battery types, including lead-acid, AGM and lithium batteries.
  2. Parallel / Cluster Feature: Units can be paralleled on single phase or more units on 3 phase to make unlimited power using the new Microgrid Cluster feature (Out Soon).
  3. Power Assist: Prevents overloading of limited AC power sources such as generators or shore power connections by automatically adjusting the battery charging process.
  4. ESS energy storage solution: Enables the retrofitting of an existing PV system with an energy storage system and uses the Victron Energy Meter to record the power flows.
  5. Phase compensation: The MultiPlus can also be used in 2-phase or three-phase systems.
  6. UPS function: Provides an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for critical loads by automatically switching to inverter operation in the event of a power outage or within 20 milliseconds.
  7. Combined functions: Combines the features of a charger, inverter and mains transfer switch in one device, including PowerControl and PowerAssist for advanced power management options.
  8. Versatile topologies: Supports various system configurations, whether in series or parallel to the grid, with or without PV inverters, to cover a wide range of applications.
  9. Compatibility with additional devices: Can be connected to Victron GX controllers for centralized control or control via the Internet.
  10. Scalability: Thanks to the possibility of parallel connection and expansion with other Victron devices, the system can be adapted to growing energy needs.

Functional Features

  • PowerControl & PowerAssist: Dynamically boosts the capacity of a grid or generator by taking account of other AC loads and using battery power to compensate for insufficient supply during peak periods.
  • Dual AC Outputs: The main output features "no-break" functionality, taking over the supply to critical loads in less than 20 milliseconds during a grid failure. The second auxiliary output (50 A) is live only when AC input is available, preventing non-critical loads from discharging the battery.
  • Scalability: Supports three-phase configuration by using three units.
  • Programmable Relay: Can be set for general alarms, DC under-voltage warnings, or generator start/stop functions (AC rating: 230V / 4A; DC rating: 4A up to 35VDC).
  • External Current Sensor (Optional): Supports a 100A external sensor to implement advanced self-consumption optimization.

Environmental & Protection

  • Operating Temperature Range: -40 to +65°C (fan-assisted cooling)
  • Maximum Altitude: 2000 m
  • Humidity: Max 95% (non-condensing)
  • Integrated Protections: Output short circuit, overload, battery voltage too high/low, temperature too high, 230 VAC on inverter output, and input voltage ripple too high.
