The Victron Smart LiFePO4 Battery 12.8V/300Ah NG represents a significant leap forward in battery technology, offering a sophisticated energy solution for high-demand 12V architectures. At its core, the battery provides a nominal energy of 3.84kWh and features a high round-trip efficiency of 92 per cent; this ensures that you get the maximum possible benefit from your solar panels or chargers. This model is part of the Next Generation (NG) series, which incorporates an advanced integrated shunt that provides extremely precise data to your management system.
For a complete and safe installation, this battery must be used with a Victron NG-approved Battery Management System (BMS), such as the Lynx Smart BMS NG. This external brain acts as a constant guardian, automatically protecting your investment by disconnecting loads if cell voltages drop too low or stopping chargers if the battery gets too warm or cold. Because the battery and BMS communicate digitally, the system can automatically update its own firmware to ensure you always have the latest performance improvements.
Physically, the battery is designed for versatility and durability. It can be mounted either upright or on its side to fit into tight compartments, and it comes with dedicated mounting brackets to ensure it stays securely in place even in a moving vehicle or boat. It is also highly scalable; if your power needs grow in the future, you can connect up to 50 of these batteries in parallel to create a massive energy bank of up to 192kWh. With an improved low self-discharge rate of just 3 per cent per month, you can leave your system for extended periods with the peace of mind that your batteries will be ready when you return.
