Understand This System

Who Is It For?

Ideal for:

Boat, yacht, and marine vessel owners who want a simple, highly reliable way to keep a 12V leisure battery charged while moored or off-grid, with a guaranteed watertight deck entry, rock-solid aluminium mounts.

Not for:

Running high-power AC appliances like electric kettles, hair dryers, or induction hobs directly, as this kit is for battery charging and does not include an inverter.
Large, full-time off-grid liveaboards with very heavy daily energy demands that require a much larger multi-panel array.
Fast battery charging from driving, as this kit is purely solar-focused and does not include a battery-to-battery (DC-DC) charger.

Product Description

The KIT11_M is a premium 12V marine solar charging kit designed around a high-quality 190W monocrystalline solar panel, measuring 1485mm by 668mm by 30mm.

At the heart of the system is the Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 charge controller. This intelligent controller actively maximises the energy harvest from your 190W panel, charging your battery bank up to 30 per cent faster than older PWM controllers. With built-in Bluetooth, the SmartSolar controller communicates directly with your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to view live charging current, solar wattage, and historical performance through the VictronConnect app.

For physical security on the water, this kit replaces standard plastic mounts with premium aluminium alloy brackets. This set of four brackets is crafted from high-grade aluminium for long-term durability and is specifically designed to resist rotation and loosening over time, even under the constant vibration of a marine deck or cabin roof. The kit includes all the necessary high-quality fixings, including four 20mm M8 bolts, eight 30mm M8 bolts, twelve M8 nuts, twelve plain washers, and twelve spring washers.

A standout addition to this marine-grade kit is the genuine Scanstrut double cable entry gland. On a boat, drilling holes in your deck or cabin roof to run solar cables inside can be a source of worry. The Scanstrut gland eliminates this concern entirely by providing a guaranteed, IP68 watertight seal for both cables through a single, low-profile fitting. Made from high-impact, UV-stabilised material, it is designed specifically to withstand harsh marine environments and sun exposure without cracking, degrading, or leaking.

The kit is curated to offer a complete charging foundation. It includes a 100A Midi fuse holder, a 30A fuse for robust circuit protection, and a pair of 5-metre solar extension cables with pre-fitted MC4 connectors.

Please consider the size of the solar panel and the solar panel mounts when sizing this kit up for your roof.
The 190W panel is 1485mm x 668mm x 30mm.
